March 2008: Hotel for sale on Ebay - offers over £1 million were being invited for a hotel in Bridport, UK this week (w/e March 8, 2008). Haddon House was listed on the eBay auction website. It turned out however that it was only an early April Fools joke. The Hotel's management were reportedly not in the least amused and had it removed from Ebay's listings.
April 1, 2007: Google announced the launch of the Google
TiSP (BETA), a free in-home wireless broadband service that
delivers online connectivity via users' plumbing systems (i.e. their
toilets). They did a full-on press release and everything, check
it out.
April 1, 2007: Google was at it again, this time in their
free email service, Gmail. When Users logged into their Gmail account,
in addition to the usual buttons such as "Report Spam"
and "Archive", there was a new button titled "Paper
Archive". Here's how they described it: "Now in Gmail,
you can request a physical copy of any message with the click of
a button, and well send it to you in the mail. Google will
print all messages instantly and prepare them for delivery. Allow
2-4 business days for a parcel to arrive via post."See

April 1, 2006: Google announced the launch of a new Dating
Service which is "cleverly called" Google Romance. All
you have to do is upload your profile. Full

April 1, 2006: Nerd site, Slashdot.org, tried to focus on
the 1.3% of their visitors who arent male, by replacing its
usual green-colored site with a pink colored theme.
